A new year and a new category, but Arne is as motivated as ever as he continues his professional career in the BH-Wallonie MTB Team. At the beginning of February, Arne got the new season off to a good start by finishing 4th in the Costa Blanca Cup XCO, an international C1 race. After being called up to the national team, he flew to Greece and on 23rd February he finished third in the Salamina Epic Race, a C2 race. Despite suffering a new shoulder injury, Arne continued training. At the beginning of April, in Nalles, Italy, he finished 8th in a HC race where he competed against some of the biggest names in mountain biking. On April 22nd, he had one of his best races to date, finishing 6th in a HC competition in Heubach, Germany, which allowed Arne to break into the Top 100 of the worldwide UCI classification for the first time! “The next important step will be the first round of the World Cup in Nové Mesto, Czech Republic, on 14th May. This race will be an opportunity for me to compete at the highest level” said Arne Janssens.
