On January 1, 2024, Arne Janssens, 23 years old and the 3rd Belgian rider, signed a contract with the professional team jb BRUNEX Superior Factory Racing. Ranked 83rd globally in the UCI standings, he was noticed for his good results during his first season in the Elite category.

In 2023, Arne notably finished in the Top 40 at the Leogang World Cup in Austria and 3rd at the Belgian Championships. But he also reached the Top 10 in non-category races, beating professional riders, and stood on several podiums. “I know the Austrian Gregor Raggl very well, who is part of the team,“ explains Arne. “I have trained with him many times. When he found out that they were looking to strengthen the team, he mentioned my name to the staff.“ Arne also joins, among others, the French hopeful Martin Groslambert and the Swiss Elite rider Ramona Forchini.

The Swiss team consists of 2 Elite riders, 1 Hope rider, 3 Elite female riders, and 4 Hope female riders. “They are Czech, Hungarian, Swiss, German, Austrian, or French, but we speak German among ourselves,“ says Arne. A physiotherapist and two mechanics accompany them to all races worldwide. The beginning of the season served as a training camp in the Austrian Tyrol. On the second weekend of February, Arne got invited to a race in Abu Dhabi. In mid-March, the team participated in the Swiss Bike Cup in Gränichen. A week later, they traveled to Ticino. In April, they will head to Brazil for the first two rounds of the World Cup. After several races in Europe, the team will also head to the United States and Canada in September and October. “My goal has always been to become a professional,“  concludes Arne. The seven years spent with the BH-Wallonie MTB Team, which trained and supported him, allowed him to take the leap and sign his first professional contract. “Now I have the advantage of really being able to progress because I have experienced people around me.“ His goal for this season? “To try to be better every day. Improve in every way and break into the Top 40 in the World Cup.“
